According to the preliminary data for 2022, the foreign trade with grains and oilseeds from the Republic of Moldova exceeded 16 billion lei, an increase of over 40% compared to the previous year. These results were mainly due to a rich harvest obtained by Moldovan agricultural producers in 2021.

A new brand appeared in the top of Moldovan grain and oilseed traders - VERUM AGRO TRADING which tripled its turnover to 1 billion lei, of which 56% from export. The volume of traded agricultural products during 2022 was 160 thousand tons, of which 80% were grains.

The main clients of the company are the large grain processors and oil crushers from Romania and Bulgaria, as well as international traders with agricultural commodities from the Black Sea area. The activation of commercial relations with external customers allowed VERUM AGRO TRADING to enter the top 10 exporters of agricultural commodities from the Republic of Moldova with a share of approximately 4%.

"In spite of a volatile and uncertain market, together with the team we managed to triple our turnover. This performance was primarily due to the strengthening of our partnership with grain and oilseed producers from the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. In 2022, we started cooperation with industrial consumers and international traders from the Black Sea region and managed to set up the supply chain by land and river to our customers," said Robert Claicnet, CEO of VERUM AGRO TRADING.

VERUM AGRO TRADING cultivates over 10 thousand hectares of agricultural land in the north of the Republic of Moldova and manages one of the largest storage facilities in the country with a capacity of 86 thousand tons, located in the village of Gura Camencii, Florești district. Starting from 2021, the company expanded its activity in the field of grains and oilseeds export.
